Wingate Campus Safety
Wingate University’s Office of Campus Safety is committed to providing a safe educational and work environment for our family of students, faculty, and staff. With more than 2,500 people on the Wingate campus, safety is no accident! The Office of Campus Safety, the Residence Life and Involvement staff, and local law enforcement agencies (Wingate Police Department and the Union County Sheriff’s Office) all work together to provide the safest possible surroundings for community members. In addition to these efforts, the most effective component of any safety program is you!
Wingate University’s campus is located in close proximity to Wingate Police Department and the Union County Sheriff’s Office, offering our campus an extra layer of service and protection. Campus Safety is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please make sure to program these phone numbers into your mobile phone:
- Campus Safety: (704)233-8999
- Wingate Police (non-emergency): (704)233-5657
Emergency Contact & WUAlert
In the event of an emergency or inclement weather, the University has the ability to contact students and parents by phone, text message, and email. In the case of a personal emergency, the University also requests that each student provide two emergency contacts. In a crisis situation, the University may need to provide support to a student and family by contacting a trusted friend or responsible family member. Students can update their Emergency Contact Information by using the checklist link.
The fall 2017 Vehicle Registration Form is now available for all students. Once this form is complete, students will be able to pick up a parking decal upon arrival to campus in August. Parking on campus is free, but cars must be properly registered. Student cars must be parked in areas that correspond to their decal. Commuting students have designated parking lots for daily use. Completing the Vehicle Registration Form ensures that a student’s vehicle will be properly registered.
If you have any questions regarding the form or registration process, feel free to contact Wingate University Campus Safety at (704)233-8999, or email Orientation@wingate.edu.
