Counseling Services

Wingate University’s Office of Counseling Services provides confidential, free, short-term mental health counseling to currently enrolled undergraduate students. We recognize that transitioning to college can be challenging, and sometimes students face obstacles that are difficult to overcome without assistance. Our counselors seek to promote health and well-being by working with students to identify the challenges they face and help them learn to respond in an effective manner.

Our counselors are licensed mental health professionals and supervised graduate student interns. In general, counselors do not give advice but instead seek to help clients understand themselves and their situation more fully in order to more clearly see their options. Our counselors cannot guarantee specific results, but counseling does benefit many people.
