The Health Center helps students make informed choices by fostering a holistic approach to student health education, wellness, and outreach in a confidential, inclusive, and respectful environment. Health Center staff members are available to treat students for any illness and injury, answer medical questions, or make referrals to local specialists if necessary. Located in the Clubhouse, the Health Center treats all full-time students on the Wingate campus. The Health Center believes in promoting health and wellness by encouraging students, faculty, and staff to make their well-being a priority. Our professionally trained staff is here to help when you need us. The Health Center is staffed with the following:
- Nurse practitioner (full-time)
- Physician (part-time)
- Registered nurse
- Certified medical assistant
- Certified nursing assistant
The Health Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Students can schedule an appointment online through the Health Center. Walk-ins are seen as time permits.
Students can visit the Health Center if they are sick or injured or if they need the following:
- Basic medical and lab services
- Allergy shots
- Flu shots
- Sports physical
- Urgent care
- Medical supplies
- Over-the-counter or prescription medications
Students can visit the Health Center for routine visits free of charge. Certain services, such as lab tests and the dispensing of medications, do require a charge. More information here.
